Words cannot express my gratitude for treatment I received for my half knee replacement surgery by Chris Bailey and the team. After 3 weeks I can honestly say it is already life changing / improving. My heartfelt thanks to all concerned. I was recommended to you by a former patient ( Chris Haines ). He was as I am now, singing your praises to all and everybody I possibly can. Thank you!!!!

I cannot praise Mr Bailey enough. I have struggled with osteoarthritis in my left knee for some years and was reluctant to resort to surgery. Initially Mr Bailey recommended an arthroscopy which significantly improved my knee for some 24 months but eventually I had to accept surgery was necessary. Mr Bailey gave me such confidence that I found I was looking forward to finally getting my knee sorted. The operation was very successful . Mr Bailey talked me through what was involved and came to check on me afterwards and to tell me that it had all gone smoothly. I know that he is an expert in his field and must perform knee operations on a daily basis but I felt that he genuinely cared about being able to improve my quality of life. He was so reassuring and I really could not fault the care I received at every stage.

Having experienced particularly heighted knee pain only in July, I was able to see Mr Bailey within days and, following a very quick prognosis I had a full knee replacement in early September, far quicker than I could have hoped for. The overall experience from initial appointment, through the operation itself and follow up consultation both by surgeon and physiotherapist could not be faulted.

I had ruptured my ACL, torn my meniscus and had a grade 2 MCL tear after an off-road motorbike fall. Immediately deciding that I wanted surgery (so I could return to off-road motorbiking) I started doing my research on specialists in my area. Chris Bailey had great reviews and, as it turns out, we had a mutual friend who was a previous colleague of Chris. She highly recommended him. I can’t say just how pleased I am with the excellent service Chris & the physio team at Sarum have provided. 6 weeks after ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair I was on my mountain bike doing light trails. I’ve had almost zero knee pain throughout my rehab and now (14 weeks post surgery) my knee feels very good. Chris is an excellent surgeon and had taken the time to answer all of my many questions and concerns. I couldn’t be happier with the results and cannot recommend Chris highly enough. Thank you Chris!

After seeing Mr Bailey 3 years ago for problems with both knees, after my operations he informed me that in 2-3 years i would need new knees. His timing was spot on. I elected to have a MAKO assisted total knee replacement on 16th November 2021 on the worst knee first. (the other knee is scheduled for 1st March 2022) From start to finish the Nuffield Wessex staff were fantastic. The operation and processes were explained to me in great detail and whilst very apprehensive of having the spinal I was assured and supported all the way. After the operation the staff were supportive (no visitors due to covid rules) and made sure i was comfortable and well looked after. I would highly recommend Chris Bailey and his team.
